Middle School Program
Program begins promptly at 8:30am. The Middle School morning begins with a homeroom followed by two academic classes. All students will attend both Math and English courses during the AM portion of program. These courses are designed to prepare students for the upcoming academic year and taught by members of the Head-Royce community. To ensure individualized instruction, all classes are capped at 22 students.
Lunchtime signals the shift to the afternoon portion of our program. Middle Schoolers grab lunch from the cafe and have the option to eat inside or at the nearby patio. Please note that snacks will not be available for purchase during this time and will only be available during student's 20 minute morning break.
This daily “assembly” is a chance for the entire Middle School Program to join together and compete in spirited activities, welcome guest speakers, use technology to share ideas, and present enrichment projects with the entire community. For many campers, this is their favorite part of the day!
Afternoon Enrichment courses are meant to provide exposure and expansion of knowledge to a variety of skills. From science and technology to arts and athletics, these courses offer Middle School students an opportunity to enjoy learning outside of their morning, grade-specific classes.
Students enroll in two afternoon enrichment classes, each 60 minutes long. Our instructors are chefs, musicians, coaches, and coders. Students staying with us until 6:00pm for After Care will have two additional 45 minute enrichment classes.
