Head‑Royce offers a comprehensive and competitive athletics program for students in grades 6-12, promoting growth, character, teamwork, resilience, and healthy competition while fostering respectful, inclusive, and welcoming experiences for all.
The Head‑Royce athletics program is serious and seriously fun. Many students play, and most go home having learned something that has nothing to do with the final score.

Head‑Royce Athletics utilizes some of the best on-campus facilities in the East Bay. Our facilities include our gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, turf field, baseball/softball diamond, fitness room, outdoor courts, and ANBA practice field. Venues that we use outside of campus include Mills College at Northeastern University, Merritt College, and the Corica Golf Complex.

We are proud of our Jayhawk alumni who have moved on to play at the collegiate level. The dedication, commitment, and talent they exhibited while at Head‑Royce has allowed them to continue their careers. Below is a list of our most recent alumni who have played on intercollegiate teams, and the schools where they are playing.
Whether you are picking up a sport for the first time or arriving ready to compete, there is a place to get involved, challenge yourself, and be part of something shared.
