Upper School

Upper School artists raise their voices in support of social justice! Artists selected resonant issues to represent in poster form. Using both words and images, they composed powerful and timely messages.

Upper School Photography students collaborated on a project combining text and imagery inspired by the writings of Angela Davis and Desmond Tutu. Each student contributed an individual image of their hand in the process of writing, along with a handwritten word, that collectively constituted a message on anti-racism. The completed poster is integrally constructed to be inclusive of every student’s contribution to create meaning both literally and figuratively.
