Our Endowment Funds represent lasting gifts from donors, securing the future of Head‑Royce students, faculty, and programs for generations.
The following named funds represent the generosity of alumni, families, faculty, and friends who have chosen to make a lasting investment in Head‑Royce. We are grateful to every donor whose name appears here.
Endowed Chairs are one of the highest honors we bestow on members of our Professional Community. Funded by generous donors, each Faculty Chair is awarded in recognition of outstanding service to the School and to nourish professional growth. Each Chair is appointed for three school years and includes an annual salary stipend and professional development grant.

Nia is the Swahili word meaning “purpose.” Nia encourages us to look within ourselves and set goals that are beneficial to the community.
The Nia Endowed Scholarship—which supports Head-Royce tuition for students of color—was established in 2003 when four Head-Royce mothers met to discuss how they could contribute to the school's mission and goals. To help fund the scholarship, they also decided to organize an annual speaking event with a distinguished speaker of color.
With grassroots fundraising and personal financial contributions of the Nia founders, the Scholarship Endowment Fund has raised over $200,000 to date, and ensures that admitted students of color will have financial backing throughout their Head-Royce academic career, regardless of any socio-economic limitations.
