In place of our traditional end-of-year Promotion and Graduation Ceremonies, students in grades 5, 8, and 12 will participate in a Diploma Walk on the following dates:
Grade 5: Thursday, 6/4, 9am-1pm
Grade 8: Friday, 6/5, 9am-1pm
Grade 12: Saturday, 6/6, 9am-1pm
Our plan has been vetted and approved by Alameda Public Health, and involves a staggered walk on campus for students to collect diplomas using strict social distancing protocols. We have also obtained a noise permit for for amplified sound for each event. We have limited attendance to immediate family members only and select faculty, and have outlined a clear parking and traffic plan. Families have been given instructions to park in Lot D, in addition to the non-residential area of Lincoln Avenue. We have also alerted families to street closures due to the Slow Street Program and will have monitors on-site to direct drivers and enforce rules, as is our standard practice.
