A Bay Area School
Students come from Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, Orinda, and over 30 other communities in the East Bay and beyond. We also enroll international students in the Upper School.
We follow a semester system which includes a Thanksgiving break, winter break, February break, spring break, and a summer vacation.
In the Lower School, kindergarten meets from 8:25 a.m. to 2 p.m. and grades 1-5 meet from 8:25 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. The After-School Program is available for Lower and Middle School students until 6 p.m. each day that school is in session. Kindergarten tuition includes the After-School Program between 2-3:20 p.m. each day.
In the Middle and Upper Schools, classes meet four times each week from 8:25 a.m. to 3:20 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each class meets for a total of four times each week: two times a week for 45 minutes, once a week for 40 minutes, and once a week for 90 minutes.

The Class of 2017 had 21 National Merit Commended Scholars, 6 National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists, and 4 National Merit finalists.
