In honor of Computer Science Week next week, Dec. 8-14, all of the divisions will provide one hour of computer lab time per class so students experience the "Hour of Code" using beginner tutorials that will help students build basic games and interactive greeting cards while more experienced students can learn JavaScript and how to start building an app.

Computer Science Week honors Grace Hopper (1906-1922), an American computer scientist and U.S. Navy Rear Admiral who was a pioneer in the field, serving as one of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer and the developer the first compiler for a computer programming language.

We could still use additional parent volunteers who have experience coding to help with our activities. Lower and Middle School parents can contact Tatyana Koziupa while Upper School parents should contact Shahana Sarkar.
